Latest on main

The following updates build on v1.0.1 and are available from main. Update the Entity worker, execution backend, and Spatial gateway together to use them.
  • Skies and lighting: ar_environment controls procedural atmospheres, panoramic skies, reflections, directional and ambient lights, fog, exposure, and the ground grid. The same controls live in Settings; failed sky loads retain the last working scene. See Environments.
  • Blender worlds: render a full 360-degree panorama on the existing execution host, inspect the image, and apply its returned skybox configuration directly in Spatial. Read the expanded Blender workflow.
  • Visual feedback: agents receive Blender renders and can inspect the actual Spatial scene from independent cameras. Humans control view sharing. See Vision.
  • Private attachments: send reference images, documents, archives, and media in the same AR message. Originals stay on the existing execution worker, including Railway storage. See Attachments.
  • Clearer interaction: Figments start with grip outlines hidden, optional guides use fine strokes, and clicking away deselects creations while inspector edits and active grabs keep their selection.
  • Long-running work: durable coding goals recover across restarts, expose status/resume/cancel controls, and keep chat responsive. The activity panel appears for sustained work and shares space with captions without covering them. See Tools.

The foundation

Continuity. YAML declarations establish an identity. Memory, knowledge, journals, and relationships give the runtime state beyond one model request. Choice of inference. Run with local inference, a private gateway, or a supported hosted provider. Hosted memory requires its own working embedding route. Presence. Terminal, Telegram, Discord, and WebXR connect through the runtime. Cross-surface turns serialize access to shared Entity state. Embodiment. A shell gives the Entity a body, animations, voice, and behavior hooks. Spatial tools can move, gesture, place panels and objects, change environments, and request a surface capture. Portability. Entity containers, verification, Studio, the Entity Factory, and governed change proposals provide building blocks for inspecting and moving Entity state.

v1.0.1 — The Figment Update

Released September 8, 2026. This release includes Figments, live Blender authoring, and the Spatial and runtime improvements since the original v1 tag. Update the Entity worker and Spatial client together.

The Figment Update

Figments give objects properties, grips, actions and agent-written behavior. Attach them to Blender models or Spatial assemblies, expose controls for people, and publish complete editable versions.
  • Five agent tools for authoring, physics, behavior, interaction and portable publishing.
  • Compound collision shapes, sensors, adjustable mass/gravity/friction/bounce/damping, axis locks, and editable motors and constraints.
  • Named parts and grips that survive mesh refreshes; independent IDs and bindings when a creation is copied or imported.
  • A native Objects inspector and local Figment library, with self-contained exports carrying code, assets, physical settings and optional .blend source.
  • Local sandbox execution with no per-frame model calls. Imports restore paused; Stop freezes programs and cancels pending package downloads.
Publishing currently creates a local version. Sharing uses .figment.json files; a hosted public gallery and cloud synchronization are not included.

Spatial creations

Agents can now build objects you can move and operate. A Blender project can take shape in your scene through successive previews; your placement stays put while the geometry changes. Local programs give those creations behavior that continues after the agent’s turn ends.
  • Blender authoring: persistent headless projects on the agent’s execution host, intermediate GLB previews, saved .blend checkpoints, authored materials, and explicit process cancellation.
  • Programmable worlds: validated batches for geometry, groups, lights, materials, physics bodies, joints, and scene controls. Scoped JavaScript runs locally without per-frame inference.
  • Human interaction: an Objects drawer, grabs, scale/rotation edits, scene toggles and sliders, human ownership during grabs, undo/redo, and world import/export.
  • Recovery: published geometry survives stopped Blender work; scene/program data restores with programs paused. Failed world restores cannot be replaced by an empty autosave.
  • Reliable authoring turns: different actions through one tool no longer hit the identical-request retry guard. Repeated identical polling remains bounded.
Start with Creations, follow the Blender workflow, or install the interactive program example. These features are newer than the original v1 tag; update the Entity worker and Spatial gateway together.

Runtime improvements

  • A persistent inference pause shared by chat, embeddings, and background work, with Telegram operator commands and a spatial control.
  • Manual compaction that summarizes older turns while preserving recent context.
  • Context displays that follow the active provider’s working budget and report automatic compaction.
  • Hosted lab setup and readiness checks for both chat and memory embeddings.

Scope to keep in mind

Desktop spatial and immersive AR expose different inputs. Tool registration does not guarantee backend configuration. Generated motion needs a compatible external provider.
